Want to help the Lions and help plan for your family's future at the same time?
For those that don't know me, my name is Deryk Beeson and I have been associated with the Lions for some years in various capacities. Until recently I was a partner in a financial advisory firm and through this firm I provided sponsorship for the Lions. I was also instrumental in bringing in other companies to provide sponsorship for the team.
I recently retired from financial services but would like to continue to provide financial help to the club for the benefit of all age groups. I have established a new company acting as an associate of APS Legal & Associates, a specialist Will Writing and Estate Planning company.
As an associate of APS I can provide advice and assistance on the following:

There can be serious problems if someone dies without a Will in place, for example:
- Without a Will who has legal authority to care for your minor children should you die?
A Will can allow you to appoint guardians who can care for your children should you die and allocate funds from your estate for their care.
- Should you need to go into care can you protect your house from being used to pay for care home fees?
A Will can be used to put into place measures which could protect at least half of its value.
- Do you wish to make certain gifts or legacies on your death?
A Will can provide specific instructions to cater for your wishes.
- Who do you wish to leave your estate to?
Without a will this may not happen.
Costs will vary according to complexity but all are highly competitive and advice can be given in the comfort of your own home and with no obligation.
Most adults have not made a Will but know that they should! Now is the opportunity not only to attend to this highly important matter but also help the Lions into the bargain! Any business conducted where the Lee Valley Lions are mentioned will generate a payment to the club to help with costs such as ice time, officials and equipment. The offer is open not just to parents but to anyone that you know, be it Mum, Dad, work colleague, club supporter or next door neighbour etc!
