Additional Comments: As printed in the match programme… “Welcome to the Lee Valley Ice Centre, where tonight’s challenge match is between the Lions and the Richmond Raiders. This promises to be another action-packed, all-London match. “Last Sunday the Lions scored an 11-4 victory over the Southampton Knights. With the two leading points scorers unavailable for this match, player/coach Dave Wurthman was leading scorer with 6 goals and 1 assist. However, he is the first to admit that he received stirling assistance from the whole team. “Next Wednesday (18th April 1984) the Lions have an extremely attractive fixture against the South Shore Kings from the USA. This will be a great opportunity to see some really skillful hockey. Come along and support our first mid-week fixture. Face-off is at 6.30pm.” |
