Additional Comments:

All three of Lions’ goals were scored as Power Plays, but sadly their final period boost of energy did nothing to compensate for the poor 40 mins that had already gone by. A bad tempered game all round, Slough had a total of 13 different trips to the Sin Bin, 6 of those being for Slashing!

Jari Ikonen and Warren Rost were both in the Bin for Roughing at 43:29, but Rost also received 2+2+10 for Attempted Spearing!

Jari was back in the box at 58:33, along with ex-Lion Derek Higdon. Jari went and had a slightly earlier shower than everyone else as he received 2+Game for Unsportsman-Like Conduct. Kimmo Lahtinen joined in the fun and also got himself a 2-mins penalty for the same offence.

Both teams had changed their netminders during this game, Lions changing from John Matassa to Mel Grundy at 40:00 and Jets from Pete Russell to Lee Wolfe at 45:16.

Referee was Crapper (or Craiper, as he liked to spell it!), Linesmen were Bennett and Feehan.
