Additional Comments: The match programme of 26/10/86 contained stats for this game but no report on how the game actually was. All I can add is that Jeff Smith faced 27 shots from the Lions, whereas Vesa Pennanen had to face 53. Letting in 7 shots out of 53 isn’t bad! There were quite a number of penalties, the biggest offenders being Kel Land (12 mins) and Mark Budz (8 mins). Mike Allard (6 mins) and Jari Virta (5 mins) received the highest number of penalties for the Lions. Officials were Bullock, Harber and Heighway. |
