Additional Comments: Our first match of the 89/90 season was just down the A12 at Chelmsford, who had acquired the services of Rick Smith and Mark Mackie, imports who had both finished in the country’s top eight goalscorers the previous season. This was an Autumn Trophy match, but as Richmond Flyers had dropped out of both the Heineken League Division 1 and the Autumn Trophy during the summer it meant the qualifying group now consisted of only two teams! Mark Salisbury was really the only player to end up in a spot of bother during this match, receiving a Match penalty at 17:49. Referee was Jenkins, Linesmen were Chilton and an unnamed stripey. |
