Additional Comments:

A home double-header and I wonder how many of the Lions were “well enough” for this night’s game. A disaster from start to finish, with the only bright spot being Mark Salisbury’s unassisted goal at 01:41!!! Still, at least the penalties were kept to the bare minimum, otherwise I’d hate to think what the final score might have been.

To make things worse, the Medway line-up included Kurt Wickenheiser, who was not exactly in favour with Lions fans after upping and leaving, totally leaving us in the lurch. However, we ended up with the last laugh, because on 31st January 1990 the BIHA awarded Lee Valley a 5-0 victory for this match as Kurt Wickenheiser had been iced illegally!!!

Referee was Powell, Linesmen were Williams and Porter.
