Additional Comments: This was our second and last visit to the High Road this season and looking at the programme for this match it appears to have been an ill-tempered affair, with the Lions coming off far worse penalty-wise. Lee Whale received 2+10 for Spearing at 50:46, while tempers boiled over at the final whistle with Phil Bridge receiving 2-mins for Cross Checking and 2+2 for Roughing, Paul Clark receiving 2+2 and a Game Misconduct for leaving the bench and Peter Collins receiving 2-mins for Cross Checking and 2+2 for Roughing! Two of Lions’ goals are worth a mention: Our 4th goal (by Lee Whale, unassisted) was actually scored as a result of Jim Graves ducking!!! Our last goal at 59:54, scored by Mark Harding, was scored onto an empty net as Streatham must have pulled their goalie in the dying seconds of the game. The Man of the Match awards for this match were actually presented by me! I’ve no idea why I chose who I did, but I’m sure they must have been well deserved! Referee was Moore, one Linesman was unnamed, the other was Cloutman.
