Additional Comments: This season the Lions had actually made it to the semi finals of the Autumn Trophy, and this was the first leg of it. The previous week had been a good one for the team, with Darcy reaching 200 points this season. Fred entered this game on 91 points and by the end of it he was just 1 point short of the magical 100. Other than Darcy Cahill and Shaun McFadyen receiving 2+2 for Roughing at 08:26 the game was relatively penalty-free. Lee Valley scored three Power Play goals in a row, at 48:33, 52:55 and 55:32, with Fred Perlini having a hand in all three. Other Lions to have played well during the game were Adam Anderson with 1+3, Paul Grech with 3+2 and Darcy Cahill with 0+7. Referee was Dadswell, Linesmen were Ashraff and Feehan. |
