The Lee Valley Lions are deeply shocked and heartbroken to announce the death of general manager and club legend Eddie Joseph yesterday.
Eddie was the heart and soul of the club for almost 40 years, playing over 200 games for the original Lions in the 80s and 90s before being an instrumental figure in the club’s revival in 2005.
Since then, Eddie held a number of key roles at both the senior and junior clubs including head coach and general manager, and worked tirelessly to ensure the club always iced a team even under the most difficult of circumstances.
He was a true stalwart of the club who will be missed by all. Our thoughts go out to Eddie’s family, friends, and everyone else in and out of the hockey community who is affected by this tragedy.
Rest in peace, Eddie.
