Additional Comments: Five Power Play goals were scored by the Lions but the first of the Vikings’ goals was also scored on a Power Play. During the course of the match Southampton received two separate penalties for Unsportsmanlike Conduct (Drew at 34:53 and Ashton at 57:29). Ashton then finished things off by getting a 10-mins penalty at 60:00 for abusing an official. Despite the big difference in the final scoreline the Shots on Goal were remarkably even, with the Lions shooting 42 to the Vikings’ 37. Officials were Cotter, Lane and Reynolds. |
