Additional Comments: Doug McEwen also had an excellent game for the Lions, scoring 3+2. Sadly Bryan Mitchell didn’t have such a good time as he had to live down the embarrassment of scoring an own goal! Telford’s 7th goal, which was officially marked down as being scored by Steve Joel (unassisted!), was all Bryan’s own work! The Clock End banter was in fine form, with calls to Tim Salmon of “half man, half fish” and “you don’t need glasses, you need a telescope” to the referee! Referee was Bain, Linesmen were Eccles and Kenny. |
