Additional Comments: It was obvious at this game which team was at the top of the league and which was languishing at the bottom! Poor Lions really didn’t have any answers against Slough, whose imports were of the calibre of Brett Kelleher (8+4) and Richard Boprey (4+5). Both teams iced both their netminders, but for clearly different reasons! Paul Clark replaced Russ Jackson at 40:00 and John Wynne replaced Charlie Colon at 20:00. There were relatively few penalties during the match and nothing of a serious nature. Both teams mustered one Power Play goal each, Mike Fafard for the Lions at 41:12 and Brett Kelleher for the Jets at 37:12. Referee was Harris, Linesmen were Porter and Ross. |
