Additional Comments: This was a challenge match against Medway Bears and although it was nice to end on a win it was certainly was helped by our having an embellished team! Rick Smith scored well with 1+6 and the Lions could have ended up a further goal ahead were it not for a fluffed penalty shot taken at 25:25. Lions’ third goal was officially noted as Luc Chabot’s hat-trick but those of us who were keeping a close eye on things felt it was actually scored by Darren Bloomfield. Notably there were only 2-mins penalties for the entire game, with only Ronnie Evans-Harvey the only one letting the side down by getting 2-mins for Roughing at 38:08j. Referee was Bramah, Linesmen were Dadswell and King. |
