Additional Comments: This was our second away match against local rivals Romford, so it meant the usual smattering of Roughing and Unsportsman-like penalties being handed out! Three Romford players received Roughing penalties, one for the Lions. Mark Budz received a 10-mins penalty at 56:07 for Unsportsman-like Conduct. The Raiders scored three Power Play goals, one per period, while the Lions’ last two goals, at 39:05 and 54:21 were also Power Plays, thanks to Eddie Joseph and Tony Goldstone respectively. Romford’s otherwise excellent match programme was spoilt by the In Town Tonight section which didn’t stick to the facts on the team but sank to unnecessary sarcasm. Referee was Wright, Linesmen were Blair and McLaughlin. |
