Additional Comments: A valiant effort by the Lions, but having lost 3 of our 4 previous encounters with the Beavers we knew we’d have a tough time of it. Still, we did amazingly well in the final period by scoring 6 goals, 2 more than the Beavers could manage. Lions’ final 3 goals were all Power Plays and we did well to only receive 2 mins in penalties for the entire game (Eddie Joseph getting a Holding penalty at 15:57). Both teams called for Time-Outs, the Lions at 33:17, which must have been a good thing because less than 4 minutes later we finally scored our first goal! Basingstoke called theirs at 48:54 when they’d scored their 9th goal of the game. Referee was Meier, Linesmen were Feehan and Blair. |
