Additional Comments: This was the 9th time we’d played the Chelmsford Chieftains – we’d previously won 3, lost 5, so we narrowed the gap with the result of this game. There were some heavy-duty penalties, with Glen Moorhouse, Tony Goldstone and Paul Ryman starting things off at 19:26 by receiving 2+2 each for Roughing. Ryman was back in the box with the only straight-forward 2-mins penalty of the match, for Holding, at 30:28. At 37:40 Adam Goldstone and Karl Rogers both got 2+10 for Cross Checking and 2+2 for Roughing (!). Finally, at 46:23 Christian Lovell received 2+10 for Butt Ending and Nicholas O’Donnell received 2+10 for Slashing. During this match the Chieftains changed their netminder from Nathan Roue to John Wynne at 45:43. They then called a Time-Out at 55:44, after which they scored their 6th and final goal – an unassisted Power Play shot by Mark Stokes at 56:40 Referee was Jenkins, Linesmen were Feehan and Mertl. |
