Additional Comments: Lions had a goal disallowed at 00:23!!! It had been judged to have been kicked in, which was a shame as it could have meant we skated away with a point. We even took Jim Graves off at 59:41 in order for one last attempt at an equalising goal but it was not to be. Lee Valley had probably given the Kings a bit of a scare when we equalised 4-4 at 45:04, thanks to a Derek Higdon goal. They called a Time-Out at 52:38 and then went on to score two Power Play goals! Lions also called a Time-Out, at 57:35, after which we too scored a Power Play goal! This was import Geoff Job’s first game for the club. He’d been brought in to replace Brad Wilson, who’d been released after the Basingstoke game on 8th December 1991. Geoff’s debut match produced a score of 2+0 for him. Referee was Moore, Linesmen were Young and Mahoney. |
