Additional Comments: A final-period burst finally saw the Lions come to life in this game, but it was way too late to make any dent on the scoreline. Still, of Lions’ three goals, two were Power Plays, scored by Steve James and Randy Oswald. (We’d previously played Slough Jets 20 times, winning only 3 of those games!) Lions’ Dave Sweeney received a 2+Game Misconduct during this game, while Brian Mitchell of the Jets received 2-mins for Cross Checking and a Match penalty for Fighting (with Darren Bloomfield) at 46:34. For some reason, Lee Valley’s import Brad Wilson only played the first period of this game. Referee was Lawley, Linesmen were Hawkes and Oakes. |
