Additional Comments:

Jon Beckett and Jim Johnston both received Match penalties for Fighting at only 10:30 into the game. Peter Collins received 2+10 at 11:12 for Abuse of an Official, then he got a Game and Gross Misconduct for the same offence, giving him an early shower at 25:54.

Streatham changed netminder at 26:29, after Lions’ 6th goal, swapping from John Noctor to John Wynne.

After Rob McCaig received a 2-mins penalty for Abuse of an Official at 47:14 the Redskins were awarded a penalty shot. This was taken by Steve Paris, who netted Streatham’s 5th goal.

It was announced after the match that Fred Perlini had reached an incredible 103 points from the past 18 games!!! The Supporters Club Trophy went to Darcy Cahill and as it was the last game of the season, the fans joined the players on the ice afterwards for a celebration skate around!

We finished the season on a good note, but Steve James mentioned in the programme that he had no idea who would be running the team the following season, leaving Lions fans in limbo over the summer season. It turned out that Steve would again be at the helm for the 1994/95 season.
