Additional Comments: A lighthearted way to end the season, the Logicom 3-on-3 contest was a round-robin event, with a mish-mash of players making up the teams. For instance, Kimmo Lahtinen and John Matassa were Lions players and so, I thought, was Victor Somfaleano, but I may be wrong! It was nice for Lee Valley and for the fans that the team finished as the winners of the championship. Little did we know at the time that these matches were to be the last we’d ever see the Lions play… (Our last ever competitive match against Swindon saw us being shut out, but we won’t go into that!!!). It was nice that we finished on a bit of a high and ended up as champions of something! Referee for the matches was Feehan, Linesmen were Hastings and Webber. |
