Lee Valley Lions is an Ice Hockey Club based at the Lee Valley Ice Centre in Leyton, East London, situated by the River Lea on the border with Hackney.
The original men’s Lee Valley Lions team was formed in 1984 and spent 11 seasons in British ice hockey’s second tier (Division 1 of the Heineken league until 1993) before folding in 1995. You can read about the Lions of 1983-1995 in our History section. The club was continued by the junior section until 2005 when Eddie Joseph, a stalwart of the original Lions, reformed the senior team and entered it into what was then known as the English National League. We now compete in the National Ice Hockey League South 2 (South East) Division.
You can find information about the team on our Roster page.
Our games are played on Saturdays and Sundays. You can details of our fixtures here and information on tickets/travel to the rink here.
